Happy Holidays All. Well it's that time of year again when the payment for our lobbyist contract is due. We very much need your help to cover these costs. This past year our lobbyists worked hard to protect us from a threat from a group looking to curtail and limit LM practice. In response, we proactively started working to develop support for legislation working to improve home/birth center to hospital transfer. The legislator who was our champion for this work in the spring did not run for another term; so we will be starting over looking for a new champion in the new legislature. We also know that due to Covid-19 health care bills will be coming up in the coming legislature and our lobbyist representation will be especially important this coming year. Please help to keep this good work going and to protect our LM practice act from future threats.

We will also be working on coalition building more generally to improve transfers. We will be working to bring a program like Smooth Transitions from WA state to Florida.
